Automated Time Tracking

Chronos Ledger simplifies time management by providing an automated time tracking system. This feature allows users to log their working hours across multiple projects either automatically or manually, ensuring accurate timekeeping for invoicing and reporting purposes.

Key Features:

  1. Automatic Time Logging:
  2. Time tracking is automatically triggered based on predefined work schedules or project rules.
  3. Users can set specific work hours for each project, and the system logs time accordingly.
  4. Time entries can be manually adjusted if necessary to ensure accuracy.

  5. Manual Time Adjustments:

  6. Users have the flexibility to adjust or override automatically logged hours to ensure the time data reflects their actual work.
  7. Time entries can be edited directly from the Time Tracking Dashboard.

  8. Dashboard Overview:

  9. The time tracking dashboard provides a visual overview of hours logged per project on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
  10. Users can easily view their total hours worked, along with the ability to make quick adjustments to logged time.

How it Works:

  • Cron Job for Automation: Chronos Ledger uses a cron job that automatically logs time for each project based on the configured work schedules. This removes the need for manual input, making time tracking effortless.
  • Manual Entry Option: In cases where automatic logging is not feasible, users can log time manually. Both options provide a comprehensive record of hours worked.

Use Case:

Imagine you're a freelancer working on two different projects simultaneously. With Automated Time Tracking, you can set specific time blocks for each project, and the system will log your hours automatically. If you need to make manual adjustments (e.g., you worked late or took an extended break), you can easily do so through the dashboard.
